A lecture about one of the world’s most endangered species will take place in Edinburgh this month. There are thought to be only 1,600 giant pandas left in the wild, and the event will feature three speakers from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland discussing how China’s attitude to the environment is crucial to their future. It has been scheduled as the process gets underway for Edinburgh Zoo to take in a breeding pair of giant pandas from China. “It’s not all black and white”, organised by Edinburgh City Council and Queen Margaret University, takes place at 1.30pm on March 27, at The Hub, Castlehill.
