A Wirral school bus had its roof ripped off after crashing into a railway bridge on a trip last week.
Pupils from Portland Primary School in Birkenhead were unharmed as the bus collided on its return from a day trip to Wrexham.
The school’s head Mary Walker told the Wirral Globe: “Thankfully, all the children are fine, although understandably a bit shaken. We always hope incidents like this will never happen but we have to plan for them with a full risk assessment.”
There were 40 children on the bus when it crashed in Cefn-Y-Bedd. Reports say the driver managed to swerve the bus to safety before causing any harm. GL.
