RENFREWSHIRE SCHOOLS are to clamp down on pupils’ accessing pornographic material on the Internet by establishing “netiquette” rules. Pupils will be invited to sign an agreement on acceptable use, co-signed by parents. In a list of do’s and don’ts, the council advises pupils to keep their password to themselves and “let your teacher know immediately if you come across any material that you know is not right”. They should not “deliberately access inappropriate, offensive or obscene materials”.
