CHILDREN dreaming of a magical Harry Potter-style Christmas at boarding school have had their hopes cruelly dashed by new rules. Regulations brought in this year mean that any school allowing a child to stay over Christmas would risk being re-classified as a children’s home and facing more regulations. Harry Potter has his “best Christmas day ever” during his first year at Hogwarts, when half the school seems to stay for the holidays and 100 roast turkeys are served.
