“Monster creepy crawlies” runs at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, May 17-September 29. Suitable for KS1-4, it features moving models of insects and other “mini-beasts” up to 300 times normal size, including a wood ant with a wriggling grub in its jaws, two stag beetles doing battle and a blue bottle eating something unmentionable. Visitors can “see” through the eyes of a fly, crawl through giant ant tunnels, observe living insects and explore where insects make their homes. Teachers’ briefing sessions will be held on May 20, June 6 and July 9. Details: 0121 235 3890.
