The police are still carrying out tests on a body believed to be that of missing headteacher Alastair Wilbee. Mr Wilbee, 47, head of Summerfields primary in Newport, Isle of Wight, disappeared in August after being accused of indecently assaulting a male pupil during a residential trip.

The body was found by walkers in a field near Mr Wilbee’s home at Cowleaze, near Shanklin, last Friday. A post-mortem examination found the cause of death was hanging.
