Another Orange-backed project, www.orange labyrinth.co.uk, is for anyone whose holiday writing project needs a kick-start. It lures readers and writers (young adults and above) into the fictional web spun by novelist and broadcaster Kate Mosse, who is sharing her work in progress (The Labyrinth Trilogy set in medieval France, to be published next year) with visitors. The site’s backbone is Mosse’s research for her novels and snippets of the emerging story. But there’s also a substantial section devoted to the craft of writing, regular short fiction competitions and the chance to register your “bookfriends” (literary Desert Island Discs).
