The firm has pledged Pounds 100,000 a year for three years to improve reading standards in schools. The borough was chosen last year for one of the country's 13 literacy centres.
Ten primary schools in Newham, east London, will each receive books worth Pounds 2,000 under a literacy scheme run by local employer Tate Lyle.
