THE CLOSURE of what is possibly Britain’s most expensive school appears inevitable after being agreed by councillors.
At a full meeting of Moray council in Scotland, members voted by 19 to six to shut the school at Tomintoul, attended by a lone pupil 13-year-old Karl Hobbs at a cost of pound;105,000 a year.
The school, which provides just the first two years of secondary education, is now almost certain to be merged next September with Speyside High, 25 miles away.
