BOTH SEXES have been let down by inequalities in the Welsh education system, the Equal Opportunities Commission says. While boys under-achieve compared with female classmates, girls fail to cash in on their superior performance because they have low aspirations, Welsh commissioner Professor Teresa Rees says. The commission launched a report this week, Different But Not Equal, which sets out what schools can do to promote equal opportunities.
