Bracknell & Wokingham College could become the fourth college member of Activate Learning under proposals announced this morning.
The college would join Reading College, City of Oxford College and Banbury and Bicester College. A consultation on the proposals opened today and will close on 27 April.
In a joint statement, Sally Dicketts, chief executive of Activate Learning and Campbell Christie, principal and chief executive of Bracknell & Wokingham College, said: “This exciting new partnership will provide students, staff and employers in the area with new opportunities and choices, giving access to growth and development opportunities made possible by being part of a larger group with national influence.
“By joining forces we intend to harness the strengths of our two organisations, bringing together four successful colleges in Berkshire and Oxfordshire, working together for the benefit of local learners and businesses.” They added: “Having the support and backing of the communities we serve is important to us. We would be delighted if you would read through the plans we have published and let us know your thoughts.”
