Braille fails to get Blunkett’s attention

A HEADTEACHER who wrote to David Blunkett in braille to tell him how demoralised her staff were has received a reply three months later ... from a civil servant. Carole Clayson of Wellesley first school, Norfolk, sent her letter without a text copy in the hope i would get to the Education Secretary without being intercepted, but the reply came from Valerie Nicholson of the DFEE. A disappointed Mrs Clayson, whose story is told in today’s Friday magazine, called the response “perfunctory”.
