Brainteaser solutions

Robert’s rally car

The car went uphill for 3 hours. Let the number of hours uphill be h. Then the number of hours downhill and on the level is 10 - h. The number of miles covered is: 40h + 60(10 - h) = 540So h = 3.

Coin magic

You need four of each of these coins: Arrange the 16 coins in a 4X4 square.

The total of each row, each column and each diagonal should be 37p.
