In January, Yasir checked the savings in his bank account. In June, he checked them again. He had 10 per cent less than he had in January. He checked them again in December. He had 10 per cent more than he had in June.

In which month did Yasir have the greatest amount of savings in his bank account?

SOLUTIONS Number rhyme: 26 or 62. Richer or poorer: Yasir has the most savings in his account in January. Assume he had pound;100 in January. Then he had pound;90 in June. In December, his savings had increased by 10 per cent of pound;90 - pound;9 - giving him a total of pound;99.
