A STUDY in the British Journal of Developmental Psychology on pocket money showed that five-year-olds received an average of 62 pence a week, 11-year olds pound;3 and older teenagers,pound;6. Children got paid three years earlier than their parents did, but were twice as likely to do chores in return.
