Clare Griffiths, head of Parkview primary, in Derby, said she had been offered pound;2,000 by one parent, while another had threatened her if she refused to accept his child.
A third of heads have been offered bribes or threatened by parents trying to get their children a place at their schools, a BBC survey of 100 leading English primaries has found.
