Bridge the digital divide

As the number of families with school-age children with access to the internet grows, so does the gap between the “haves” and “have nots”.

According to Parents Online, an initiative created by the DfES, 91 per cent of “AB” households are connected, compared to only 42 per cent of “DE” homes. This is the digital divide that Parents Online wants to bridge, and teachers and schools are seen as key partners. Its new website was launched this month and participants who register can get a free events pack.
