WE HAD probably better not reveal the school’s name - except perhaps to say that it came under the aegis of Stirling - but it did come as a surprise to one recent visitor who spotted large directional signs advising study groups to go to certain rooms for instruction.

The students being thus directed were “Third and Forth Year Pupils”. Quite ridiculous - Stirling is miles from that particular river. The sign was, we are glad to report, temporary.
