Pupils at Alford Academy, Aberdeenshire, have written and produced two plays on bullying, performed last Tuesday as part of an anti-bullying evening. The plays were recorded by Aberdeenshire’s Media Unit for cable broadcast during the autumn term and will be distributed free to local schools in video packs with copies of scripts and questions to discuss (Pounds 6 approx to schools outside the area).

In the first play, the lead bully is found to be a victim of bullying and in need of help; there are various endings depending on how the protagonists react. The second play focuses on the importance of parental and school support.

For copies of the video, ring Robin Palmer at the Media Unit, 01224 346073. Further information from Gordon Lennon at Alford Academy, 01975 562251.
