Schools visiting Dove Cottage - home of William Wordsworth between 1799 and 1808 - can now make use of a purpose-built education room. The latest addition to the literary attraction in Grasmere, Cumbria, is a slate-clad building that replaces the tin shed that was previously used for educational workshops. Workshops on history, English and creative writing are available for primary and secondary students. Themed walks are also available. Tel: 015394 35544; www.wordsworth.org.uk
