* The first National Schools Film Week will be held on October 7-11, when primary and secondary schools across the UK can attend film previews in 35 different locations, and talk to actors and directors promoting current releases. The event is organised by Film Education, with Barry Norman as its patron. Schools can obtain free teaching materials, and enter a number of competitions. Schools wishing to enter the Film 96 Young Film Critic of the Year Award - winners to be announced during Film Week - have one week to get their reviews in.
