* Carlton Television is offering schools in the London area a free media and English pack, showing how a news story, the protests against the M11 extension, develops from the first inquiries to final transmission on the London Tonight regional news programme. Aimed at secondary pupils, it contains a video following the making of a news broadcast, study guide and contact addresses.
There is also a competition being run in conjunction with the pack, with schools being invited to produce a five-minute video of a news report, in the style of London Tonight.
