Roger Pope says unions tell members not to participate in school trips - but this not true of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL). We support members who take children on trips, which we believe are important for learning. It is up to us all - schools, parents, children, unions - to ensure a rising threat of litigation does not discourage staff from getting involved.
