‘Bring back school milk’

SCHOOLmilk should be brought back to combat the “time bomb” of osteoporosis, according to Dr Olga Rutherford, of King’s College, London. The disease is increasing at the rate of 10 per cent a year and is becoming a problem in men as well as women. “Kids today do not drink anything like as much milk - and even worse, they drink fizzy drinks,” she said. Excercise, to build up bone mass, is also important.
