West Dunbartonshire Council is pressing ahead with its pound;8 million school improvement programme, contrary to reports last week that the fund had been "frozen" following criticisms by Audit Scotland. It had taken the council to task for not sending councillors a report on a school buildings survey, referring them instead to a previously issued background paper.
