Local authorities are set to invest record amounts of cash in their school buildings, according to the latest statistics. Figures show that the budgeted capital expenditure on education by Wales’s 22 councils for 201011 was #163;259.6 million, an increase of 22 per cent - or #163;46 million - on last year.
