Bullying levels are still ‘unacceptable’

Education minister Leighton Andrews said it is “unacceptable” that so many pupils still “suffer at the hands of bullies”. As schools across Wales marked Anti-Bullying Week, new figures revealed that 30 per cent of 10- to 12-year-olds and 15 per cent of 14- to 15-year-olds had been bullied in some way over a two-month sampling period, although overall bullying levels have fallen since 200506.
