A pound;20,000 compensation payout to a young woman who was bullied at school will not set a legal precedent, according to lawyers.
Sophie Amor, 23, won the award from Torfaen council in Wales this week after complaining that she was bullied daily at St Peter’s church of Wales school in Gwent more than 12 years ago. But Mark Blois, an education law specialist at Browne Jacobson, said the case would not lead to similar claims as the payment had been made out of court and bullying laws were already firmly established.
