A Glenrothes primary school has launched a business education partnership with Scottish housebuilder Lomond Homes.

Caskieberran Primary was chosen from hundreds of other schools after the firm said its “exemplary standards” made it the perfect fit for the initiative, which aims to promote positive attitudes to life and work.

An official partnership agreement was signed at a ceremony at the school. It outlines pledges by the company, including supporting the delivery of enterprise knowledge, mentoring P7s on a business project, and holding meetings with every class in the school.

To kick-start the initiative, the school ran a competition asking every pupil to design a logo reflecting its “Be all you can be” motto, and Lomond Homes’ “Live the difference” mantra. The pupil who came up with the most inspiring design concept was Jamie King, in P2.

Lomond’s creative co-ordinator, Debbie Kemp, will visit the school to give a lesson on logo design. This will be followed by a series of business- enterprise lessons.
