* U3 is a new company set up to establish standards for USB flash drives.

Computer companies want to make USB devices for much more than just storage and U3 plans to create standards that make it possible to launch applications from a USB drive on any PC.

* Yahoo! has come up with it’s new search engine YQ!, it lets users carry out contextual searches on the web pages they are using. Highlight a word or term on the page and you are presented with a list of web pages linked to it. Expect more features from Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! in the coming months.
