C of E school failed on fair admission

A Church of England primary school in London has been rebuked for failing to deal with a parent’s application fairly. Local government ombudsman Jane Martin found St Paul’s in Mill Hill had applied its admissions criteria “in a way that could contravene the Disability Discrimination Act”. It also refused to allow the parent to appeal, delayed the hearing on “unacceptable” grounds, and its appeal panel “misunderstood its role and remit”.
