The CADCAM in Schools Initiative is a DATA-managed project in partnership with the Department for Education and Employment and other bodies. It aims to ensure that all secondary schools have access to CADCAM, that they are given ProDesktop software free of charge, that all teaches using the software are adequately trained and that industrial links are developed to provide realistic contacts for schools. More than 250 schools are involved in the programme. Further details from DATA, tel: 01789 470007. Web: www.data.org.uk. TEP, tel: 020 7582 0900
