Call for more school vetting

Schools are good at vetting teachers, but fail to do the same with other adults working on-site. They are also failing to safeguard pupils being educated off-site, says inspection agency Estyn. It wants all governors subjected to Criminal Records Bureau checks, and no adult to work at a school until they have been fully vetted.
