Cancer pack to counter fears

A POLL for Macmillan Cancer Relief has found that 14 per cent of 10 and 11-year-olds believe you can catch cancer from other people. The survey of 437 pupils was commissioned to launch the charity's schools awareness programme Cancer Talk, a pack of teaching materials for primary and secondary schools. The charity said myths and unproven speculation can lead to unnecessary fear for children.
