Hengrove community arts college in Bristol is hosting a “Crossing Cultures”

exhibition until July 25, showcasing artwork produced as part of a cultural exchange initiated by Bristol City Council in partnership with the British Council in Egypt. Professional artists in residence at schools in Bristol, Cairo and Alexandria (pictured) provided guidance for 160 young artists aged between 10 and 13, and participants from both sides travelled to visit their fellow artists

At a Love Music, Hate Racism event at Halewood college in Knowsley, Merseyside, Year 8 and 9 pupils had a go at being pop stars with Fade2. The three-piece from Liverpool are supporting the Knowsley Schools Against Racism campaign, and have been performing to pupils and hosting songwriting workshops
