Ten thousand inadequate childcare places have been turned around in 15 months as a result of inspection, Ofsted has announced. Almost nine out of 10 of the 490 providers reinspected after being judged to be failing were found to be satisfactory or better. But almost 180 resigned their registration before inspectors returned.
