Care leavers struggle at college

COUNCILS have been told to give more financial and personal help to young people who leave care to enter higher education. By Degrees, a report from the Thomas Coram Research Unit, says many work long hours to make ends meet and get little help applying for a place, finding accommodation or coping with the emotional upheaval of moving.
