Is England the only country in the developed world that tells its young people to look at a website when they need careers guidance (“Government fails to deliver on promise of unified careers advice”, FE Focus 22 April)? Disgraceful!

When drop-out rates increase, social mobility decreases, youth unemployment and disaffection rise, and FE and HE take-up plunges, someone will wake up and suggest that maybe we need to give young people more guidance and support. By then, though, there will be no qualified professionals left to deliver it.
