It’s not just teachers who know how to talk the talk. An S3 pupil told researchers from Glasgow University studying the Skill Force initiative (TESS, last week): “This is what education should be like - good relationships, good ground rules and relevant content.”
“I think Skill Force has been a great help in improving both my attitude towards school and also my behaviour in school,” said another young S4 man with some insight.
This is one programme that seems to have given the youngsters taking part not just a sense of themselves - but also a sense of how educationists talk.
