TEN teachers from “challenging” state schools and further education colleges are to work with Oxford University on ways of increasing applications to higher education from poorer pupils. The “excellence fellows” will also develop their own skills and subject knowledge, as part of the two-year pound;60,000 pilot scheme, launched yesterday.
