Pupils are being offered the chance to win a trip to the US space agency Nasa’s Johnson centre, in Texas, and the Kennedy centre, in Florida.
The Edge into Space competition, being run by the International Space School Educational Trust, is open to teams of two, three or four pupils in Years 9 to 12 in England.
Teams must describe a possible real object or process that could improve space travel, life in space or be developed in space to improve life on earth.
