The president of the Educational Institute of Scotland (TESS, October 3) writes, in connnection with chartered teacher courses, that the University of Paisley Partnership “now has around 500 teachers signed up. This is, by far, the largest number of participants signed up on any course in the country.”

The University of Strathclyde Partnership currently has 489 teachers registered on its chartered teacher course.
