In all the hullabaloo over publishing key stage 2 test results and the performance tables, I am surprised that little or no mention has been made about schools possibly “doctoring” tests results. This could have taken the form of a “nudge, nudge, wink, wink” by teachers to help children, and also by schools using the test papers to coach children.
To eliminate this possibility, an army of invigilators needs to be recruited, so that tests are administered impartially. Securicor will need to deliver test papers to schools on the test morning.
