LIBRARIES have set up their first national links with businesses, including Ford cars and Asda supermarkets. A campaign for the National Year of Reading called Reaching Parents, will see shop-floor libraries open on the Ford production line in Dagenham.
There will be writer performances and story-telling in every Asda supermarket for the Big Read, a week of events starting on May 31. All Asda staff are to be trained in storytelling.
