Primary teachers near Edinburgh will be checking their diaries at the end of May for the performances in the Bank of Scotland’s 2007 Children’s International Theatre Festival. The festival is at home in the Traverse Theatre, but plays in five other spaces from the Cammo Estate (off Queensferry Road) to the Brunton Theatre. Targeting each production to its respective year of primary school, director Tony Reekie continues to make it as easy as he can for teachers to make the most of “the best of children’s theatre from Scotland and around the world”. The festival features 16 productions, all from western Europe, ranging in style from story-telling to puppetry, ballet and beyond. The festival runs from May 19-28, before touring Scotland in June.
