I read your article on testing with both interest and anger.
I am 11 years old. We have been practising for Sats for about eight months and I am due to take them in a few weeks’ time.
I think testing is wrong. It makes children worried and anxious. Sats do not show children’s abilities, what they are good at or even what they are interested in. I would scrap Sats at key stage 2 as they worry children too much.
I feel sorry for the boy, Max, whose father tests him. My mum is a teacher and she doesn’t test me. He would be better off having fun and playing football with his son.
