The General Teaching Council which pretends to be about improving standards, has issued a creepy draft ‘code of practice’ which has the nerve to tell teachers what opinions they should have.

“Teacher professionalism involves challenging prejudice and stereotypes to ensure equality of opportunity.” What this actually means is “Do not dare say that you think marriage is better, that women are different from men, that you disapprove of homosexual acts. If you do, we won’t hire you. If you are already teaching, we won’t promote you and you may be in serious trouble if you speak your mind.”

Peter Hitchens, July 15
