Leicester Baba Yaga Bony Legs Haymarket Studio December 5-January 4. Banyan Theatre team up with the Haymarket to tell a Russian folk tale with puppets for 3-5s.

Manchester A Little Princess Library Theatre November 29-January 18. Dave Simpson adapts the other Hodgson Burnett. Riches-to-rags story of a Victorian orphan who keeps up standards.

Milford Haven The Emperor's New Clothes Torch November 28-January 4. Nordic Hans Andersen with Latin American rhythms.

Mold The Snow Queen Theatr Clwyd November 29-January 18. Stuart Paterson's warm-hearted version of the story of the cold-hearted queen.

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Merlin the Magnificent Playhouse December 9-January 11. Revival of early Stuart Paterson directed and designed by experienced Paterson man Neil Murray. The Terrible Grump Gulbenkian Studio November 14-January 4. Newcastle's other offering is Chris Speyer's dose of simple story, songs, lovable wildlife and fun participation for under-6s.

North Staffordshire Beauty and the Beast New Victoria November 27-January 18. John Kirkpatrick's music goes with this play by Jan Page.
