A range of online games has been launched by the Scottish Parliament’s education service to help pupils learn more about the work of the parliament.

As well as providing a timeline from 1293 - the first recorded meeting of the King’s High Court of Parliament in Scotland - to the present day, the website allows pupils to explore parliament online.

The website provides background information on how parliament works as well as a variety of online games. These include a “snakes and ladders” game on being elected as an MSP: delivering 500 leaflets allows you to move on two spaces, but when your campaign bus breaks down and you miss a TV interview, you have to slide back nine spaces.
