CitizenshipRE - Resource of the week - Tackling sexual exploitation

With children as young as 10 being sexually exploited, pupils need to be aware of the dangers. To complement the national action plan on the subject, Sheffield-based social enterprise Eyes Open Creative has created the “Love or Lies?” pack and shared it on TES Resources.

What is it?

The pack includes more than 20 lesson plans that aim to get pupils thinking about issues around sexual exploitation. It includes the film My Dangerous Loverboy (see picture, right), which tells the story of a young girl who is groomed and sexually exploited by an older man before being trafficked around the UK. The pack is suitable for pupils in key stage 4 as part of a planned sex and relationships programme. For more information, visit www.mydangerousloverboy.com.
